Keyose's Team
Keyose creators are Julio Bonis Sanz and Carlos Hernández Medina. We are friends since university and we come from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, a little city in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
Dr. Julio Bonis Sanz, co-founder
I have studied Medicine at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and have worked for years on Medical IT.
I am currently working as a doctor in the Emergency Department of the hospital Fundación Jiménez Díaz and in the medical centre of Espronceda (Madrid, Spain). I have previously worked as a science technician in various European Committee projects related to the use of IT in the health sector and in biomedical investigation. I have also gained recognition in the media for discovering the first incidence of Wiitis (a type of tendonitis caused by the excessive use of the Wii Videaogame Console).
Me and my colleagues have to deal on a daily basis with the lack of information on patients' medical history. It is the case of patients normally examined in other hospitals, patients with communication difficulties or cognitive limitations, as well as foreign visitors. This is how I came up with the idea of creating a simple and cheap, but highly efficient service for the management of a personal health record on the Internet, which would also ensure data confidentiality.
Carlos Hernández Medina, co-founder
I am an IT Engineering graduate from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and responsible for the technological development of Keyose.
Over the past 10 years I have worked in the domain of Software Engineering. In 2000 I founded my first company, recrea, which specializes in Software and Usability Engineering, and I have ever since realized various projects for public institutions as well as private companies. In 2006 we created endeve, an on-line invoice management program for professionals and companies.
In the summer of 2007 Julio shared with me his idea of creating a personal health record management system, which got me thrilled from the very beginning and we have been working on its development ever since.
My work in this project comprises architectural design, usability, layout and programming through XHTML/CSS and Ruby on Rails technology.
Lucio Arrighini Pérez-Dávila
Studying the final year of my degree in Industrial Design Technical Engineering at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, I am the creator of the Keyose logo and the Keyose health card.
Since 2006 I have been collaborating, under a scholarship, with the Cultural Affairs Administration Office of the above mentioned University, participating in the management and organization of the exhibits in its art salon and undertaking the creation of catalogues, posters, flyers, invitations and other kinds of graphic material.
I have also worked as a freelance designer for various advertisement agencies, carrying out all different kinds of projects, such as corporate identity manuals, company and shop catalogues, marketing campaigns, TV spots and radio commercial breaks.
